Dhaka-17 by-election: 12 leaders bought the nomination of A-League

So far 12 aspirants have collected party nomination papers to get Awami League nomination in Dhaka-17 seat by-election.

Apart from this, 65 candidates for the post of mayor of 9 municipalities and 86 candidates for the post of chairman of 37 union councils have collected the nomination form of Awami League.

In the last three days, these aspirants collected nomination forms from party president Sheikh Hasina’s political office in Dhanmondi.

Tuesday is the last day to collect and submit party nomination forms for these elections. After the deadline for submission of nomination forms, Awami League’s Local Government People’s Representative Nomination Board and Parliamentary Board are scheduled to finalize the party candidates for all the elections.

Earlier, the collection and submission of party nomination forms started from Saturday.

So far, the leaders who have collected the nomination form of Awami League in Dhaka-17 by-election are – Central Executive Member Mohammad Ali Arafat, National Committee Member Mohammad Wakil Uddin, Dhaka Metropolitan North Vice President Mohammad Abdul Quader Khan, Health and Population Affairs Secretary Kaniz Fatema Sultana, Cantonment Former member of Police Station Committee Advisory Council Abu Saeed, former president of Banani Police Station Committee AKM Jasim Uddin, former Jubo League Secretary for Industry and Commerce Abdul Khalek, Acting President of Dhaka Metropolitan North Jubo League Zakir Hossain, Mujibnagar BCS Freedom Fighters Officers and Employees Association President and former Secretary Mohammad Musa. , Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance’s advisor Mu. Nazrul Islam Tamiji, Aparansh General Secretary Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman and Gulshan Thana Awami League primary member Arafat Ashwad Islam.

Dhaka-17 by-election will be held on July 17. The seat became vacant after the death of Awami League member of parliament Akbar Hossain Pathan Farooq on May 15.
