The per capita income of Bangladesh is now 2793 dollars

The per capita income of the people of Bangladesh has increased to two thousand 793 US dollars as of the end of the fiscal year 2021-22. In the financial year 2020-21 which was two thousand 591 US dollars. As a result, per capita income increased by 202 US dollars in one year.

Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) released the final figures on Sunday (February 5). Although the per capita income has increased, it has not increased as expected by the government. This income was two thousand 824 dollars as a temporary measure. As a result, every dollar is equal to 107 taka, the income of every Bangladeshi person is now 2 lakh 98 thousand 851 taka.

Bangladesh’s economy has been growing rapidly since independence in 1971. In the financial year 1972-73, the annual per capita income of the country was 676 rupees. As such, one’s daily income was one taka 85 paisa. Per capita income has increased as a result of economic growth.

Per capita income has consistently increased as GDP growth has always been positive. At the beginning of the independent country, the per capita income was 676 taka, after only two years (1995-96), the per capita income increased to 11 thousand 152 taka. Then in 1998-99 the per capita income increased to Tk 14 thousand 143. In one step in 2000-01 the per capita income increased to 23 thousand 91 taka. Then in 2005-06 fiscal year 36 thousand 448 taka, in 2010-11 fiscal year 66 thousand 44 taka per capita income.

The per capita income in fiscal year 2015-16 was Rs. At this time the per capita income stood at 1 lakh 14 thousand 621 taka. In the fiscal year 2018-19, the per capita income stood at one lakh 60 thousand 440 taka.
