Two people were killed, and at least 40 others – mostly students – injured as a bus carrying a group of picnic-goers from a Jashore school overturned and crashed into a roadside tree in Gopalganj’s Kashiani upazila Thursday night, police said, reports UNB.
The deceased are managing committee member Biddyut Kumar Biswas, 50, and lab assistant Sudipto Biswas, 34, of Bakri Bahumukhi Secondary School in Bagherpara of Jashore.
Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Tajul Islam confirmed the matter.Of the injured, 15 were admitted to Jahsore General Hospital and the rest to other hospitals, added the official.
