Wrong info prompted US to impose sanctions on Rab: Shahriar Alam

The United States had imposed sanctions on Rab based on wrong information, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam told parliament today.

He made the claim while participating in the discussion on the thanksgiving motion on the president’s speech.

Shahriar said the date of December 10 was specifically chosen by the BNP for the culmination of divisional rallies because, on December 10, 2021, America banned Rab based on false information.

“BNP thought they could get another ban.”
