‘Pathaan 2’ already in the works?

Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen, after nearly four years, received a rousing reception from his fans. “Pathaan” has already become a box-office hit since its release. So much so, that fans are already hoping for a sequel to the film.

To celebrate the film’s success, Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and Siddharth Anand appeared for a press conference following the release of “Pathaan”. During the interactions with the media, the director gave a major hint about the possibility of a sequel. Following suite, SRK stated that the sequel will be “bigger and better”.

During the interaction, SRK was asked about his thoughts on “Pathaan 2” and whether he would be interested in being a part of it. “Working in ‘Pathaan’ was such a great experience and I am quite serious today. After a long time, the love and success of this film has brought joy to my family, friends, and all those close to me. So, if you ask me, I am quite pleased with the opportunity that has been presented to me. And, hopefully, whenever Siddharth wants to do ‘Pathaan 2’, I’ll be there,” shared Shah Rukh.

The actor also joked, saying, “I am ready to grow my hair till my hips this time, for the sequel. I will do my best to give ‘Pathaan 2’ my all. It will be an honour for me.”

“Pathaan” has set a new record at the domestic and international box offices, grossing Rs 542 million in just five days. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film was released on January 25. Salman Khan also makes a cameo appearance as Tiger in the film.
